Colin Peter Field

Colin Field has been in charge of the Bar Hemingway since 1994. Acknowledged as one of the world's top barmen by the press and by connoisseurs, he unveils some of the secrets of his art in Cocktails of the Ritz Paris. For Colin, the creation of a new cocktail is first and foremost "a question of psychology": there is a cocktail to suit the tastes of everyone, depending on the time of day, the event being celebrated, etc.
 
Colin loves a challenge: tell him how you feel, and he will come up with a cocktail that perfectly matches your mood. Colin is an attentive with a fund of fascinating tales, and an equal ability to discourse as a connoisseur – and in several languages – on topics as varied as contemporary art, share prices or the life of Ernest Hemingway.
